The program is a self-paced, no-cost way for organizations to build a culture of structured energy improvement that leads to deeper and sustained savings and does not require any external audits or certifications. 50001 Ready partners with utilities and other organizations that support and facilitate the implementation of 50001 Ready energy management systems.
Direct use of energy causes 70% of global greenhouse gas emissions, so managing energy is essential to achieving decarbonization. The 50001 Ready energy management initiative offers a practical path for any company to reduce energy use, save money, and meet decarbonization goals.
50001 Ready has mapped the Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle of the ISO 50001 energy management system into 25 actionable tasks that foster continual improvement of energy management, with a suite of resources available to help each step along the way.
